Neck Pain
Osteoarthritis in the spine
Osteoarthritis is the term
used to describe the gradual deterioration of joint surfaces over time,
which can affect various joints in the body, including those in the
neck. The neck, composed of seven individual cervical vertebrae referred
to as C1 through C7, can experience this degenerative process in some
individuals, often starting at an early stage. Common symptoms include
inflammation and stiffness.
Physiotherapy offers valuable assistance through
specially tailored exercises aimed at enhancing flexibility and
strengthening the muscles that support the affected joints.
Additionally, manual therapy techniques can be employed to alleviate
discomfort.
